About the Event
Nisf Sha'baan also known as Shab e Baraat or Laylatul Baraat. It is believed to be a night of forgiveness and mercy, and Muslims typically spend the night in prayer and contemplation, seeking forgiveness for their sins and making supplications for their needs and desires. It is believed that on this night, Allah writes the destinies of people for the coming year. Additionally, it is believed that the souls of the deceased are also granted mercy and forgiveness on this night, and so some Muslims visit graveyards and offer prayers for their loved ones who have passed away.
